September Virtual 5K: A Step Forward For Suicide Prevention

For Suicide Prevention Awareness Month in September, TSPN is hosting a statewide virtual 5K that's more than just a run—it's a lifeline. Every step you take, every dollar you contribute, directly funds our vital suicide prevention programs across Tennessee.

Here's why your participation matters:

1. Immediate Impact: Your registration fee goes straight into funding our educational programs and outreach in suicide prevention.

2. Accessibility: This virtual format allows everyone to participate, regardless of where you are or your fitness level. Run, jog, or walk—on streets, trails, or even your treadmill. Your effort counts, no matter how you choose to complete your 5K.

3. Early Bird Savings: Register before August 31st for just $20. After that, the price increases to $25. Your early commitment helps us plan and maximize our resources.

Will you join us? Your participation supports our mission to provide suicide prevention efforts and training to communities struggling to respond to people in crisis -- their friends, family members, neighbors, co-workers, fellow church members, students and more.

In my time leading this organization, I've seen firsthand how our programs improve lives. But we can't do it alone, and more work needs to be done. With your support, your voice, and your steps, we can continue to strengthen our suicide prevention efforts in Tennessee.

Register now at https://runsignup.com/Race/TN/Nashville/TSPNSeptember5K. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Thank you to our September 5K sponsor: Ascension Saint Thomas Behavioral Health Hospital

P.S. Remember, the early bird price of $20 is only available for one more week. Register now to save and to make a difference in suicide prevention across Tennessee. The first 50 registrants will receive a medal.*

 * Medals will be available for pick up from a designated location.
